Olga Plikhivska

Hi, I'm Olga. I didn't start out as a designer - I became one. With over 12 years of experience in marketing, including in the banking sector, I spent years deciphering consumer needs and business dynamics. Today, I bring that same insight to design, creating not just beautiful visuals, but strategies that meet your goals.
I look at your brand through two lenses: design and marketing, which helps me create designs that speak to your audience and call to action
My Design Journey
2007: First steps in design
In 2007, while working as a marketing specialist, I was introduced to CorelDRAW for the first time and began to take my first steps in design. I made simple layouts for a shopping center - signs, holders, and posters - gaining experience in working with printed materials. The differences between CMYK and RGB, the specifics of the color gamut for printing, and paper types became familiar terms and tools for me.
2012: Immersion in the world of photography
In 2012, my journey took a more artistic turn when I discovered photography. As a marketer in a photo book company, I studied Photoshop and learned the art of light and shadow. This helped me create images that come to life in photos and further deepened my understanding of composition, color correction, and retouching.
2014: Professional photography and advanced editing skills
In 2014, I took up professional photography, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge of Photoshop and start working in Adobe Lightroom. This experience honed my eye for detail and color balance, skills that later became integral to my design work.
2015: Introduction to Web Design
In 2015, I took my first serious plunge into web design by leading a project to create a new website for the company I worked for. Working closely with designers and programmers and immersing myself in professional details helped me learn the basics of web aesthetics, UX/UI principles, and the intricacies of digital design.
2016: Project management in IT
Since 2016, I have been working as a project manager at an IT company, where I was fully immersed in the digital world, coordinating the development of websites, applications, design, SEO, and online marketing. I often had to save projects by creating designs myself, as the company relied on freelancers. This role helped me to improve my project management skills and deepen my technical knowledge of design.
2018: Full-time freelance designer
Since 2018, I've been fully dedicated to freelance design, combining all my knowledge to offer comprehensive design solutions. Today I'm a full-stack designer, able to create designs for both web and print - from packaging to business cards and banners. My journey has combined marketing experience, the art of visual storytelling, and technical skills to bring clients effective and on-point designs.
